Privacy policy

Makershot ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Koustav. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@makershot.tech and we’ll answer.

What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible.

• Contact submissions: When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email, company (optional), project type, budget, and message. This is used solely to reply to your inquiry.
• Calendly bookings: If you book a call via the embedded Calendly widget, Calendly collects your name, email, and scheduling preferences. Their privacy policy applies to that data.
• Tool usage (e.g. OG Image Generator): Prompts you submit are sent to our AI providers (Google AI, Hugging Face, or Replicate depending on availability) to generate the requested image. We do not permanently associate prompts with your identity.
• Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging. Logs are retained per Vercel’s defaults.
• Basic analytics: We may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Vercel Analytics) to measure aggregate page views. No personal identifiers are collected for analytics purposes.

What we don’t collect

• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
• We do not use third-party advertising cookies or pixels on this site.
• We do not create user accounts on this site today.

Third-party services we use

• Vercel — hosting and analytics.
• Resend — transactional email when contact submissions are configured to forward.
• Calendly — optional embedded scheduling on /contact.
• Google AI Studio / Hugging Face / Replicate — AI inference for the OG Image Generator. Prompts are sent to whichever provider is active.
• Google Fonts — typography (Geist, Instrument Serif).

Each provider has their own privacy policy; we recommend reviewing theirs for details.

Cookies

This site uses essential cookies only (e.g. for theme preference and session integrity). We don’t use advertising cookies.

How long we keep data

• Contact messages: retained in our inbox indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.
• Server logs and analytics: per the retention policies of our providers.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@makershot.tech. We’ll respond within 14 days.
