A one-person studio shipping like a ten-person team.
Makershot is run by Koustav — a senior full-stack engineer who builds quick AI tools for indie makers and takes on a small number of client projects each quarter. No sales team, no account managers, no outsourcing. Just thoughtful software.
Makershot started as a side project — a place to ship the small AI tools I kept wishing existed. The first one, the OG Image Generator, solved a real problem I hit every week: needing a good-looking social card in under a minute.
It grew into a studio because founders kept asking the same question: “Can you build the whole thing for us?” So now we do both — run a collection of quick AI utilities under the Makershot roof, and take on a small number of fixed-price client engagements each quarter.
The philosophy is the same across everything we ship: speed with taste, craft over flash, and a deep bias toward helping other makers actually launch.
Three rules that shape everything.
Speed with taste
We ship in days, not months, because we use a polished stack and strong defaults — not because we skip the craft.
Craft over flash
Typography, spacing, motion, and the small details matter. Every surface should feel considered.
Maker-friendly
We build for indie hackers because we are one. Transparent pricing, async-first, pragmatic trade-offs.
The tools we build with
Opinionated defaults. We’ll happily work in your stack — but these are the tools we move fastest in.
